RE: I might have seen you
I thought I heard you
in wails and calls and the screams
of the wild creatures that hid in the high trees.
as I listened for you
RE: I might have seen you
was that you dancing in the glittering sunlight bouncing off the blue caribbean seas, in a spectrum of colors that I have never ever seen as my heart pounded for you
Yes, it was me...
I was dancing in the sea; dazzled by the sun as the dolphins were bounding. But I didn't recognize your heart. I thought it was the surf pounding.
RE: Yes, it was me...
people at the start,
but true vision
happens in the heart.
RE: RE: Yes, it was me...
I see your soul...
and you see mine.
we are as one...
heart & soul intertwined.
I might have seen you
I may have seen you in the rain forest, where the air hung heavy and thick. The flora and fuana obscuring my view as I looked for you
There -- a ferral child:
leaps from a branch, animal
fearful gaze, sees them.
RE: RE: I might have seen you
I looked for you in water drop prisms,
in the intricate veins of summer leaves,
I stared into salty tidal pools,
I scented you on the breeze.
A fractured reflection is all I see
Even that drips off the slow shifting leaves
As wind whispers to look around
Yet I cannot see what is beyond me.
RE: RE: RE: Yes, it was me...
you took my soul,
you took my life,
you let me alone,
dying in the dark...
Time, friend or foe
how do we fill it
or do I spend my time
trying to kill it??!!
RE: RE: RE: I might have seen you
Like rain falling on a window pane
the vision of you poured out
leaving a pool of rippling circles
that danced along in precision.
Was she the child in you, that leapt from dripping tree to tree?
I thought I saw your eyes flash bright behind her fearful glance;
she took her chance, traversed the silent forest canopy
high above the mossy floor where I hid to watch her graceful dance.
Twirling upon the quivering air,
Fluttering upon the angel's breath;
Lifting then falling to the ground,
the leaves dip and ripple accross the mirror water-shattered.
In agony I suffered
it seemed time would never end
I not only lost my lover
I lost my very best friend
Frayed are the edges
torn are the seams
where is the thread
to mend all our dreams?
RE: RE: RE: RE: I might have seen you
I stood in wet sand at the lake's edge watching the ripples
radiate from where the speckled trout had breached the surface;
I thought I saw you reflected in the lake water, a white cloud
turned gray scuds away from me as the Western wind calls your name.
RE: RE: Sighting
It has always been
those deep brown lash-locked eyes
I hoped they would not see pain.
Proud in Pink Sighting
He wore pink and bullies beat him up
but it's just another color and shade;
the other kids wore pink the next day
and drowned those bullies in a pink parade!
To think after all these years
parting meant we would lose
our best friendism
Shall we start a new religion
wash it away
Baptism of faith
baptism by fire
some actions are asking
to be baptized by my ire.
weave another fabric
a comforting warm shawl
cover all the older damage
wrap it gently over all
anywhere that people live
and work and drive and shop
is bound to be a noisy place
the raucous sounds will never stop
I cannot live some places,
nor can I hear some sounds.
Bass that vibrates through the walls
provides eviction grounds.
I wondered how it went
I looked on-line
and found my answer: built
